Vanilla Crumb Pie Recipe

Pie filling:
c. sugar (brown or white)
1 c. light corn syrup
1 T. flour
1 pt. cold water
1 egg
1 t. vanilla

1 c. flour
c. sugar
t. soda
t. cream of tarter
c. butter

Preheat oven to 400. Boil together first five ingredients. Stir in vanilla. Pour into pie crust. Mix together crumb topping and spread on top of filling. Bake at 400 for 5 minutes then reduce heat to 375 and bake until done. Makes 1 pie.
