Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 med. Onion chopped
4 Tbsp. oil
2 ½ cups tomato sauce
1 ½ cups tomato paste
2 ½ cups water
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 lbs. ground meat (turkey or beef or 1 lb. each)
Salt and pepper
1 ½ cup cheddar cheese or American (2% milk fat)
1/ ½ cup mozzarella cheese (2% milk fat)
1 box oven ready lasagna noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onions in oil until tender. Combine onions, tomato sauce, paste, water, sugar, and seasoning. Brown meat with salt and pepper. (I cook the meat and onions together and leave out the oil.) Combine sauce and meat. Pour meat sauce in bottom of 9 X 13 casserole dish, sprinkle with cheese, then a layer of noodles (uncooked). Continue with a layer of sauce, cheese, noodles until all sauce is used. Cover tightly with foil and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Let stand 15 to 20 min. before serving.
Note: Sauce will be very thin. It’s so the uncooked noodles have plenty of moisture. Sauce is even better if it sets overnight, but this is not a necessary step. I never have time do mine that way.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is the entree that Georgia made for the first meal that I ate at the Vrba's home in Elm Mott. Anthony had invited me to go with him to Elm Mott to meet his parents. It was absolutely delicious! This was the beginning for many meals that would be shared with this family that soon became my family, too! I have made this recipe many times and always give Georgia credit for it...."Anthony's Mom's Lasagna Recipe"!
