Cake: 1 stick butter
½ cup shortening
4 Tbsp. cocoa
½ cup water
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
2 eggs lightly beaten


Icing:
1 stick of butter
6 Tbsp. milk
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar (or 3 ½ c.)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup pecans

Cake: In a saucepan, bring to a rapid boil 1 stick of butter, shortening, cocoa, and water. Combine sugar and flour in a large bowl. Pour cocoa mixture over flour mixture and beat well. Add buttermilk, cinnamon, vanilla, soda, and eggs. Mix well and pour into a prepared 9X13 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 30 mins.

Icing: While cake is baking combine in a saucepan, 1 stick of butter, milk, and cocoa. Bring to a rapid boil and pour over powdered sugar. Beat well. Add vanilla and nuts. Spread over hot cake.
