4 cups chicken stock .. 4 cups milk
6 bay leaves ... 5 medium potatoes
1 stick butter ... 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. white pepper ... 1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat chicken stock and milk to almost boiling. Set aside. In large pot, melt butter. Add flour stirring constantly for 3 mins. to make a roux. Gradually add liquid mixture while stirring to eliminate lumps. Add bay leaves, pepper, potatoes and salt; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15-20 mins. Can be served with cheese and/or green onions.

This is our go-to recipe for the McClain family - it is one of our favorites!! The bay leaves really add some good flavor and I always use a few extra.
