Fresh ginger root, no need to peel, just grate it on the large holes of a four-sided grater, (2 heaping tablespoons)
2 cups of boiling water
1 tablespoon of good honey, we like local Mountain Man Honey
2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
A pinch of cayenne pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Steep freshly grated ginger root in the 2 cups of boiling water, covered for 10 – 15 minutes. Strain out the ginger root. Add honey, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Stir, drink and get well!

When chilly-weather brings on colds, flu, upper respiratory infections, sore throats, or just general aches and pains… hot ginger lemonade has made everything all right again. Alternative medical research has backed ginger root and hot pepper as natural head clearers! An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure; so, drink it when flu season is here, before you get sick!
