1 lb. butter
1 ⅓ c. sugar
3 T. water
4 tsp. light Karo Syrup
1 c. chopped almonds

2 cups ground almonds
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Place butter, sugar, water, karo and chopped almonds into a cold heavy frying pan. Turn heat to medium and stir continuously as it melts. cook, stirring constantly until it resembles thick pudding and starts to smoke. It should be a light to medium tan color. Pour into a buttered 9x13 pan. Pour chocolate chips over hot toffee. Sprinkle almonds over chocolate. when cool break into pieces.
