2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup sliced almonds
3 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/8 tsp almond extract
1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Toast 2 cups rolled oats and 1/2 cup sliced almonds in 3 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring, until golden, about 5 minutes. Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup water in a separate large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until deep golden, 10 to 15 minutes. Working quickly, stir in the oat mixture and 1/8 teaspoon almond extract, then 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Spread in a thin layer on an oiled baking sheet and let cool. Break into pieces.
