1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (or more)
1/2 cup grated apple (I use a tart apple)
1 1/2 cup quick cook oatmeal
1/2 cup chopped walnuts opt

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat, Mix in sugar, salt, cinnamon and apples. Allow to boil for 1 minute and remove from heat. Add oatmeal and walnuts. Stir well, drop onto wax or parchment paper. Allow to harden and cool. Store in airtight container.
