1/2 c butter or margarine
1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c flour
1/2 c chopped walnut
1 1 /4 c dates
1 c water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 c miniature marshmallows
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar until light. Add egg and vanilla. Blend in flour and walnuts. Spread in 9X9 inch pan. Bake at 350ºF for 18 min. Combine dates, water and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 10 min. Stir until smooth. Add marshmallows and stir until partially melted. Spread on baked base. Cool. Top with whipped cream.
