½ lb butter
5 eggs
1 c sugar
2½ c flour
½ c orange juice
1 jar cherry preserves
½ lb candied cherries
½ lb candied pineapple
1 lb pecans, chopped
1 t baking powder
½ t each nutmeg, cloves, and allspice
½ t salt
1 t cinnamon
1 lb white raisins
¼ lb citron
⅛ lb lemon peel
⅛ lb orange peel

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and other dry ingredients together and dredge fruit with ½ c of flour mixture. Cream butter and sugar and beat in eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with juice and preserves. Combine with fruit and nuts and bake in 2 loaf pans at 250º for 3½ hours. Can be cooked in small muffin tins 25-30 min at 325º.
