Personal Notes:
Our great grandmother’s (Mary Catherine Grady) recipe. It was a real treat for her grandchildren, according to my mother (Marie Lobb Otwell). The Irish had lots of potatoes on the menu; this is a cheap way to vary this frequent side dish. My recipe card is dated 1939.
