1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 can sweetened evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a 2 qt sauce pan. Add remainder of ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to medium heat and stir continuously for 15 minutes. Butter a 9x13 glass dish and pour hot mixture in to the buttered dish. Let set for 2+ hours. Cut in to 1 inch squares and wrap in wax paper.

This caramel recipe has been used for many years - at least three generations now. Some have used these caramels as fund raisers at a bake sale and have done very well.
