1 c. butter flavored Crisco
1 ½ c. sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
2 eggs
1 ½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
2 c. smooth peanut butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp. vanilla
1 ½ c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º.

Cream shortening, peanut butter, sugars, milk & vanilla in a large bowl with an electric mixer at med. speed.
Beat in eggs.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder & salt. Mix into creamed mixture.

Drop by rounded tablespoons 2" apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with a fork dipped in flour.

Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet, then move to cooling rack.
