4 egg yolks
4 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. whole milk
1¾ c. sugar
1 ½ boxes Nilla Wafers
2 med. bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Put wafers in a large bowl or in an oblong dish. Place banana slices/quarters over wafers.

Mix sugar, milk, flour, egg yolks, butter & vanilla. Cook on med. heat until thickened.

Pour over wafers & bananas.

If you desire a MERINGUE: Whip 4 Tbsp sugar & 2 egg whites together on high speed until stiff peaks form. Spread over pudding. Bake in oven until lightly browned on top.

Every time I make one of these puddings, I think of MaMa Bell. I always put it in my large yellow glass bowl...just like hers. That's how I remember her making & serving it. If only I could go back and sit at her table once more...let her dish me up a warm bowl of her delicious banana pudding...Sweet memories! You'll have to watch Dad...he likes to eat all the cookies out of the pudding and leave the bananas behind!
