2½ cups flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
3½ tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp corn oil
⅓ cups milk
1 egg
2-3 mashed bananas

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Grease bottom only of loaf pan. Mix all ingredients; beat 30 seconds. Pour into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 to 65 minutes. Cool slightly (about 15 min). Tap sides of pan to loosen loaf from pan (or use a knife to cut around the edges). Gently turn out on cooling rack. Cool completely before slicing.

This is my favorite recipe from the Betty Crocker cookbook circa 1970's. I like it because unlike other banana bread recipes, this one rises up above the loaf pan to create a tall loaf.
