6 T. butter
½ C. chopped onions
½ C. chopped celery
2 cans of green asparagus (NOTE: I’d use fresh asparagus.)
Water
6 chicken bouillon
¼ C. flour
1 C. light cream

Directions:
Directions:
Saute chopped onions & celery in butter. Drain asparagus OR cook asparagus in water; retain fluid/water. Cut tips off asparagus; dice stalks. Add enough water to the asparagus fluid to make 5 cups. Combine diced asparagus, liquid & boullion with sauted veggies. Heat to boil and cook for 5 minutes. Put liquid through a sieve. Blend in flour & add cream gradually to liquid. Cool – stirring constantly, until thickened. Add to sieve mixture; Season with salt and pepper. Add asparagus tips; Heat to serving temperature
