2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
3 apples peeled and sliced

1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 egg yolks
1/3 cup milk
4 egg whites
1/3 cup granulated sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In 2 9 inch pie plates or a 13 X 9 inch baking dish, melt butter in 400º oven about 2 minutes. Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over butter; bake for 2 minutes. Arrange sliced apples over top; bake for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in bowl, combine flour and baking powder; blend in egg yolks and milk. In large bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form; gradually beat in sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold into milk mixture; spread evenly over apples. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven; loosen edges with knife and invert onto serving plate.
