Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter at room temperature
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
Generous pinch of salt
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup corn syrup
2 cups raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly grease 2 8 inch square pans or 1 9 X 13 pan. Measure 1 1/2 cups flour into a small bowl along with brown sugar and butter. Stir together until well blended.

Firmly press mixture into bottom of pans. Bake in centre of preheated oven until light brown and set about 12 to 14 minutes. Remove pans to a rack while preparing filling. Leave oven at 350º.

Beat in remaining flour. Stir in corn syrup, then raisins. Pour filling over partially cooked base.

Immediately return pans to oven and continue baking until squares are well browned and edges start to pull away from sides of pans, about 20-23 more minutes. REmove pans to a rack to cool. Squares will sink slightly and filling will set as they cool.

Cut and serve butter tart squares at room temperature. Store covered in fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 6 months.
