12 medium cucumbers, peeled
5 medium onions
1/4 c salt
1 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp mixed pickle spice
1 1/2 tsp celery seed
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 c vinegar
1/2 c water

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and peel cucumbers, peel onions and cut into 1/4 in rings. Arrange in layers sprinkling salt on each layer. Let stand 2 to 3 hours. Drain. Combine remaining ingredients and heat to boiling. Add cucumbers and onions and simmer 10 minutes. Pack in hot sterilized jars and seal.
