Barb's Coffee Cake Recipe

Barb Stark


1 cup butter
1 1/14 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
pinch of salt

1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter, add sugar, beaten eggs, sour cream & vanilla - beat well. Add dry ingredients gradually - (will be thick). Pour 1/2 of mixture into buttered angel food cake pan. Put 1/2 topping mixture on this - add remaining batter. Then rest of topping. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes then turn out to cool. Sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
