4 large (3 lbs) baking potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/8 inch thick
1/3 cup butter melted
1 large clove, garlic, minced
1 tsp salt or to taste
1/4 tsp pepper or to taste
2 tbsps parmesan cheese grated
1 tbsp fine dry bread crumbs
1/8 tsp paprika

Arrange about 1/3 the potatoes in bottom of shallow 2 quart casserole. Mix butter, garlic, salt and pepper; drizzle about 1 tbsp over potatoes. Repeat twice with remaining potatoes and butter mixture. Mix Parmesan, bread crumbs and paprika - sprinkle over top; cover tightly with foil. Bake in preheated 400º oven 40 minutes. Remove foil; bake 20 minutes longer o until potatoes are tender and top is browned.
