2 cans (29 oz) pear halves drained but save syrup
1 vanilla bean or 1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cp sweet white wine such as sauterne; or 1 cp white grape juice
1 package dried apricots (6 oz)
2 cps (1lb) red and or green grapes -seedless

Directions:
Directions:
In medium size saucepan bring pear syrup, vanilla bean and wine to a simmer. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add apricots and let cool. Pour over pears. Add grapes. Chill overnight. (If using vanilla extract add AFTER syrup has cooled.)
