Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 lbs. ground beef
I large can crushed organic tomatoes
2 or 3 medium cans organic tomato sauce
3 medium cans organic red kidney beans
1 or 2 large onions
3 packages French's Original Chili Mix (hard to find, but worth the effort)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef with chopped onions. Drain any grease.
Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans (do not drain), and French's chili mix. Stir.
Add water as necessary for soup like consistency.
Simmer covered on low heat as long as you want, stirring frequently. The longer you simmer, the better it gets. Add additional water as necessary.

This makes a nice, mild chili that everyone seems to love. Add more chili powder to taste, if desired.

Serve with any or all of the following:

Cornbread, of course
Warm French bread
Garlic Bread
Shredded Cheddar or Co-Jack Cheese
Sour Cream
Tortilla Chips (try putting your chili over crushed chips)
Chopped Vidalia Onion
Saltine Crackers

Follow up with warm apple pie and ice cream!

We eat this meal a lot during our cold, snowy Michigan weather.
