Ingredients: ⅔2 ½ c. Cake Flour 1 ⅔ c. Sugar 1 ¼ tsp. Baking Powder 1 ¼ tsp. Baking Soda 1 tsp. Salt ⅔ c. Soft Butter ⅔ c. Buttermilk 1 ¼ Mashed Ripe Bananas (About 3 Medium - Bananas should have brown spots on them) 3 Eggs (½ - ⅔ c.) ⅔ c. Finely Chopped Nuts

Directions:HEAT OVEN TO 300º
SIFT TOGETHER:
2 ½ c. Cake Flour 1 ⅔ c. Sugar 1 ¼ tsp. Baking Powder 1 ¼ tsp. Baking Soda 1 tsp. Salt
ADD:
⅔ c. Soft Butter ⅓ c. Buttermilk (Half of the Original Ingredient) 1 ¼ Mashed Ripe Bananas (About 3 Medium)
Beat all of the above ingredients together for about 2 minutes on medium, scraping the bowl to ensure all ingredients are blended together.
ADD:
3 Eggs (½ - ⅔ c.) ⅓ c. of the Remaining Buttermilk
Beat the mixture for another 2 minutes, scraping the bowl making sure all of the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together.
FOLD IN:
⅔ c. Finely Chopped Nuts
Gently fold in the chopped nuts ensuring that the mixture is not over beaten
GREASE & FLOUR - 2 9" layer cake pans or a 9" x 13" oblong pan and pour batter into pans.
BAKE at 300º Layer Pans - 30 - 35 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean. oblong Pan - 45 - 50 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool cake and ice with Butter Cream Frosting
