cup butter or margarine, softened
cup shortening
cup peanut butter, creamy
cup granulated sugar
cup light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 cups all purpose flour
cup baking soda
tsp. baking powder
tsp. salt
cup peanut butter chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375F. In a large mixer bowl, beat butter, shortening and peanut butter. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar and egg. Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture and blend well. Stir in peanut butter chips (optional). Shape into 1" balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. With a fork dipped in sugar, flatten in a crisscross pattern. Bake 10-12 minutes or until set.
