3 EARS FRESH SUPER SWEET CORN

2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER

1/2 CUP DICED SPANISH ONION

1/2 TEASPOON MINCED GARLIC

3 CUPS , LOWER SODIUM CHICKEN BROTH OR VEGTABLE BROTH

2 MEDIUM RED POTATOES

3 TABLESPOONS FLOUR

1 MEDIUM BAY LEAF

1TSP FRESH THYME LEAVES OR 1/4 TSP DRIED

2 CUPS WHOLE MILK

1 CUP HEAVY CREAM

2 TBLS FRESH PARSLEY

SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE

CUT CORN KERNELS OFF COB, (ABOUT 2 CUPS). SET ASIDE
. IN A LARGE SAUCE PAN OVER MEDIUM HEAT, MELT BUTTER. ADD ONION AND CELERY. COOK AND STIR UNTIL TENDER, ABOUT FIVE MINUTES.
ADD GARLIC, AND COOK UNTIL AROMATIC, ABOUT 30 SECONDS
STIR IN FLOUR. COOK ABOUT 2 MINUTES.
STIR IN BROTH AND MILK AND THE COBS.
STIR IN BAY LEAF, THYME.COVER & SIMMER FOR EIGHT MINUTES.
ADD CREAM ANDADD CORN KERNELS & COOK UNTIL TENDER, ABOUT TWO MINUTES
. WITH TONGS REMOVE COBS FROM SAUCE PAN, AND DISCARD BAY LEAF .
ADD SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE .

SERVE SPRINKLED WITH CHOPPED PARSLEY OR CELERY LEAVES,
