3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 lb dates, chopped
1 cup walnuts
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Powdered sugar for coating

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º F.

Butter a square baking dish.

Mix eggs, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
Add chopped dates and walnuts.
Add flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix all together well.
Pour in baking dish.
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool, cut into bite sized square, roll in powdered sugar.

These might be my favorite bar cookie ever. The recipe comes from an old Mirro cookbook my mom has had since I was born (probably).
