Directions:Either press to an 8x5 rectangle to use a 2 ˝ inch cutter or make a long roll on the wax paper; mark into 9 biscuit sections and cut with a sharp knife or scissors & form into a biscuit. Bake @450 degrees for about 10 to 12 minutes. The dough will be a bit sticky, so that is why you need a floured surface to roll it out on. The 2/3 of a cup of milk is the measurement we use because Alberta has such a dry climate. You may need to use less liquid. Try it with 2/3 Cup milk and knead in a bit of extra flour and then you can determine if you need to reduce the liquid or just knead & roll out with extra flour.
I make up 2 or 3 little bags of everything but the milk and store them in the fridge. Then when we feel like biscuits, I just have to add the (cheese ) milk; cut/form the biscuits while the oven is heating up and bake them. Uncle Don likes them for dessert with my homemade, seedless raspberry freezer jam. Enjoy!! |
