1 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
36 whole almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a large bowl mix together all ingredients except almonds. Roll dough into golf-ball size or smaller balls. Place on cookie sheet and press whole almond in center of each ball. Bake until brown, approximately 8-10 minutes.
