Personal Notes:
Grandma tried to walk me through baking my first pumpkin pies, over the phone. I was determined to use REAL pumpkin and not the canned pumpkin. When I made them, it seemed I had more filling than what was needed to fill 2 pie shells, like Grandma was saying. It turned out that I had enough filling to fill 6 pie shells. LOL!!! Apparently the fresh pureed pumpkin goes further than the canned.
