Temperature 425F

1 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
tsp salt
⅓ cup shortening
1 cup dry mashed potatoes
1 egg, slightly beaten
6 tbsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. Cut in shortening until mixture is like coarse corn meal.
3. Rub mashed potatoes into mixture (they should be dry and mealy).
4. Slightly beat egg; add milk; stir into potato mixture, mixing very lightly.
5. Turn on floured board and divide into 3 equal parts.
6. Roll each part into a round, and cut each round into 4 scones.
7. Bake in oven; serve hot with butter and honey.
