Separate 1 egg and beat just the egg white.
For every egg, there is 1 cup flour, 1/2 tsp. salt
1 rounded tbsp baking powder,
dribble of vanilla
1 cup milk
1 tsp. oil

Mix all and fold gently in the egg white into the batter.

Farmers syrup for pancakes:

1 part water
1 part brown sugar
1 part granulated sugar

Simmer to boil over stove.

Do not let boil.
