1 C butter
2 C sugar
2 eggs
1 C oil
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
5 C flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, oil, salt, vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Mix well with wooden spoon. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Rolls balls in sugar and flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar or fork. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly brown on edges in a 350 oven. Cool on rack. Store in air tight container.
