3 qts small cucumbers
Salt and water
1 qt vinegar
1 c sugar
1 tbs mustard seed
1 tbs celery seed
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp alum
Directions:
Directions:
Wash cucumbers and cut into 1/4 in slices
Soak overnight in brine to cover of 1 tbs salt to 1 qt water
Mix teh remaining ingredients with the vinegar and bring to boiling point.
Drain brine from cucumbers.
Pack in jars. Cover with boiling water and seal.
