Ingredients: 5 tbsp olive oil 1 small white onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 796ml can of diced tomatoes 1 796ml can of ground tomatoes 2-3 sprigs fresh basil ˝ tsp salt

Directions:1. In a medium saucepan sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until browned on medium-high h. 2. Add can of diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10-15 minutes. 3. Add can of ground tomatoes and let simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes. 4. Add salt and basil. Keep sauce warm on very low heat until the meatballs are ready. |

Ingredients: 3 eggs, slightly beaten 1 tsp salt ˝ tsp freshly ground pepper ˝ cup grated parmesan cheese ˝ cup bread crumbs 3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped 700 grams ground beef, veal, pork, or chicken 1 cup vegetable oil for frying meatballs

Directions:1. Combine all ingredients (except oil) in a mixing bowl, adding the ground meat last. 2. Stir until consistency is moist but firm enough that you can scoop and form mixture into meatballs. 3. Pour oil into frying pan and heat until very hot. 4. Drop the meatballs into the frypan and cook until they are a nice golden brown and crispy on the outside. 5. Remove meatballs and place on a paper towel to drain until they are all cooked. 6. Add to sauce and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Directions:1. Cook your favourite pasta according to package directions. 2. Spoon sauce over pasta and place 2-3 meatballs on top. 3. Sprinkle with cheese and chopped basil. 4. Serve with red wine and fresh crusty Italian bread (for dipping!)
