2 1/2 c sugar
1 pt sweet milk
1 c shortening
2 eggs
1 oz carbonate of ammonia
Lemon extract or oil of lemon
Enough flour to make a very thick mixture.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients.
Knead well for several minutes.
Roll out like a pie crust.
Cut in squares.
Pierce with fork.
Bake in hot oven.
