1/2 c shortening or butter
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 c white sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together butter, peanut butter, sugars, and egg.
Sift together dry ingredients and stir together.
Chill dough
Roll into balls size of large walnuts.
Place 3" apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
Flatten with fork dipped in flour, crisscross.
Bake until set - but not hard.
Bake at 375º 10 - 12 min.
