3 medium acorn squash
3 Tbs. margarine
⅓ cup dark corn syrup
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
⅛ tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Wash squash. Cut in half and scoop out seeds and fiber. Pour water into large kettle to a depth of 1½ inches. Add squash, cover and steam 20 minutes or just until tender. Remove, drain and arrange cut side up in a shallow baking dish. Spread cut surface of each half with about ½ Tbs. margarine. Top with corn syrup, salt, nutmeg and pepper. Bake at 400º for 15 minutes or until squash is lightly browned. Makes 6 servings.
