1 ¼ cups white flour
¾ tsp. soda
¾ tsp. salt
1 ½ tsp. baking powder

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup chopped walnuts

2 eggs
½ cup white sugar
2 Tbsp. butter (melted)
⅓ cup molasses
1 cup buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and sift dry ingredients (white flour, soda, salt and baking powder) and then add 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1 cup chopped walnuts.

Mix well - beat 2 eggs and stir in - white sugar, melted butter, molasses and buttermilk. Add to dry ingredients. Put in buttered and floured loaf pan 4" x 9" and bake at 350º for 50 or 60 minutes.
