1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup raisins, walnuts, or chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 F

Sift flour, salt, cinnamon & baking powder together and set aside
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in the eggs and milk
Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the mixture
Stir in the rolled oats and mix thoroughly
Add any optional ingredients you want, or don't
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and bake for 12 - 15 minutes
