1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup raisins, walnuts, or chocolate chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º F.

Sift flour, salt, cinnamon & baking powder together and set aside.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs and milk .
Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the mixture.
Stir in the rolled oats and mix thoroughly.
Add any optional ingredients you want, or don't.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet and bake for 12 - 15 minutes.
