1 1/4 cups papaya pulp
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp vinegar

2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp each - salt, nutmeg, cloves
1 cup nuts
1 cup raisins or dates

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º F
Mix together in medium bowl first 6 ingredients (papaya to vinegar).
In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients, add the papaya mixture, combine well.
Add the nuts and raisins (or dates).
Pour into a well buttered and lightly floured loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
