Coffee Rolls Recipe

1 cake yeast
cup warm water
3 Tbsp. melted butter
cup warm buttermilk
⅓ cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3 cups flour

cup butter

Brown sugar mixture:
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
cup currants
⅓ cup chopped nuts

Dissolve 1 cake yeast in cup warm water. Add 3 Tbsp. melted butter, cup warm buttermilk, ⅓ cup sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 2 eggs and 3 cups flour. Mix and let rise an hour or so.

Then roll out and cover with cup butter. Mix together ⅓ cup brown sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, cup currants and ⅓ cup chopped nuts. (Steam the currants first.)

Put this mixture over the top of the butter. Roll up like cinnamon rolls and cut in slices. Put in a greased pan an inch or so apart and let rise.

Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
