¾ lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped green pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 16-oz can diced tomatoes
1 16-oz can dark red kidney beans, drained
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
2-3 tsp chili powder
½ tsp dried basil, crushed
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper

Directions:

Cook ground beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic until meat is browned. Drain fat. Stir in rest of ingredients. Bring to boiling, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
