1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter or Crisco (I have used half butter, half crisco)
teaspoon salt
Milk

4 apples
1⅛ cups granulated sugar
teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoon tapioca

1 cup powdered sugar for glaze.

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, shortening, and salt.

Separate egg; add enough mild to the yolk to make ⅔ cup.

Roll out half the dough and place in jelly roll pan.

Cover with apple slices.

Sprinkle with mixture of sugar, cinnamon, four, and tapioca.

Roll out remainder of dough and place on top. Seal the edges. Brush with beaten egg white.

Bake in oven at 425 for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 375 for 25 minutes.

Drizzle with powdered sugar frosting. cut into bars while warm.
