32 oz bag of frozen hash brown potatoes (defrosted)
1/4 c. melted butter
1 Tbsp . Lawrey's type season salt
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
10 oz. American cheese or sharp cheese grated

Directions:
Directions:
Defrost potatoes, cook onion in butter until tender, mix cooked onion and butter with remaining ingredients. Fold in potatoes, pour into 9 x 13 pan and top with 2 c. crushed corn flakes mixed with 1/4 c. melted butter. Bake 45 minutes. This is a favorite dish Emily Davids taught me.
