1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup pumpkin
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp.salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup ground dates
1/2 tsp. Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and beat. Add pumpkin, dates, milk and sifted dry ingredients. Add vanilla and fold in nuts. Drop spoonfuls on baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes @ 375 F. Frost with Brown sugar frosting or browned butter frosting.
