1 can Sauerkraut 16oz.
3 slabs Salt Pork or Bacon cut in cubes
1 small Onion chopped
1/4t Rye seeds
Salt and pepper to taste
Bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
Place Sauerkraut in strainer and rinse. Set aside.

Cook bacon/salt pork in pot rendering fat until crisp. Remove crisps with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels. In pot with fat saute onions until golden. Add sauerkraut, crisp pork, rye and bay leaf. Mix together. Let simmer about 1/2 hour.
