1 clove garlic
2 chopped tomatoes
1 chopped onion
1 cube sugar
3/4 c olive oil

Fresh green beans (1-2 pounds, ends trimmed; flat beans best)

Directions:
Directions:
Saute chopped garlic and onion in large cooking pot, add 2 finely chopped tomatoes, cube of sugar, oil, green beans, s&p to taste and cover with water. Bring to a boil and then simmer on med low with lid closed for 1 - 1.5 hours, add more water if necessary during cooking process.
