1 box of pasta (elbows, bow ties or shells)
Deli sliced white cheddar, ½ lb.
4 cups whole milk
4 Tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper to taste
½ Tbsp. paprika
¼ Tbsp. garlic powder
Additional 4 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375°. Coat 9x13” baking dish with cooking spray. Cook pasta as directed on box.
While pasta is cooking…heat milk, butter and spices in a sauce pan over medium heat. Just enough to melt the butter. Do not boil.
Drain pasta. Take half of the pasta and half of the milk mixture and put into baking dish. Top with slices of cheddar. Put remaining pasta and milk over the first layer. Top with sliced cheese again and additionally with remaining 4 Tbsp. butter (sliced in small chunks).
Bake until cheese is golden and bubbly.

This is an eye balled recipe so you may need to add more than 4 cups of milk if it doesn’t look like it’s enough. You can also use half and half for a richer dish.
Adding chopped ham and frozen peas makes this a main dish.
